Recentering God in Mongolia

Traveling to Mongolia was the first time I had ever left the United States. It was a frightening experience considering I didn't know what to expect; however, I trusted that God had it all planned out for me. Despite all the fears that I had built up in my brain, the faith that God instilled in me for the trip prevailed. I pushed myself physically, emotionally, and spiritually, leading to a reflection of my life and my values.

I learned how to weigh my values and what was important to me in life. Deepening my faith by reprioritizing what was important to me. Recentering God became the most important goal I had in my life, learning and sharing from the people of Mongolia gave me a unique perspective and outlook on life. Being able to learn about a different culture is an experience I'll cherish for the rest of my life. Ever thankful to Athletes in Action for this tremendous opportunity.
