Freedom I Didn’t Know I Could Experience

Before I went to Ultimate Training Camp, I lived in a constant performance mindset. Always trying to be “on,” feeling the pressure of the platform I had at my university. I was burnt out, drained, and defined by what others expected from me instead of what God said about me. I didn’t realize how heavy that weight had become until I arrived at camp and finally slowed down long enough to see it.

After attending UTC, I experienced a level of freedom I never knew was possible. God used that week to break chains off of me while deeply convicting me for the way I was living my life. The community I found there, friends who genuinely saw me and walked with me, will last a lifetime.

My relationship with the Lord grew more in that week than it had in all the years before. I look back now and truly can’t imagine where I’d be without that experience. The Lord radically transformed my life, and understanding the truth of the gospel has allowed me to live in a new light. I found the joy of the Lord is my strength!
