I won’t lie, I was hesitant to be a part of the whole UTC experience. I simply felt as though I didn’t need the camp or that there was no new level I could reach not only in my athletic capabilities but spiritually as well. UTC completely switched that around for me. I got to meet so many people who quickly prayed for me and loved me like we’d known each other all our lives. Not only did we endure something physically hard together but we got to know each other and hear each others stories.
I was continuously moved by the talks and motivated to not only do everything FOR God, but to bring Him into the journey and do it WITH Him. God is the center of our lives and guides every step we take. He knew I needed UTC to jump to the next level of the person He created me to be. These memories and the suffering that was endured in the 48 hours of intense workouts and competitions will truly remain with me forever. As cheesy as it may seem, if you got through UTC camp it is safe to say there is nothing in life physically that you won’t be able to endure. As long as your strength remains in the Lord, He will help you endure forever. Thank you to Matt Williams for bringing us the light of the world and introducing us to this beautiful and once in a lifetime experience.
