My time at UTC Colorado was an amazing experience. I was able to meet so many new friends and create lifelong memories with them. From a 32-hour road trip with countless gas station stops to seeing the mountains as we arrived in Fort Collins, the drive alone was incredible. I had never sung so hard I lost my voice in a matter of moments, but at UTC, it was definitely worth it. I was nervous at first because I didn't know many others going, but God provided me with brothers and sisters from all over the world. We laughed, sang, prayed, ate, and cried together. It was beautiful. As athletes, we are always told to focus on our sport.
The hardest part for me was getting a concussion. I thought it would bring me down and isolate me from everyone, yet I had a big community of people who supported and cared for me in so many ways.
