Going into UTC, I was extremely lukewarm in my faith. I would read my Bible maybe once a day and pray before bed but only because I thought it was what I was obligated to do if I wanted to call myself a Christian. I would say I never had a true relationship with Jesus until He met me at UTC.
I went in searching for relief from the identity problem I couldn’t escape. I searched for fulfillment in everything else but Jesus: my performance in sports, in school, and in the approval of others just to list a few. But through UTC, Jesus taught me that my identity is not based off of any of these things, but rather that I am rooted in Christ alone. He showed me that true fulfillment comes from pursuing a real relationship with Him, not how I perform on the field. He also showed me how to find joy in suffering. How joy is not based off of circumstances but based off the fact we have a God who calls us by name and loves us, no matter the trials we may be facing.
My time at UTC changed my life. It lit a flame inside of me I never knew I had and gave me loving, lifelong, Christ- centered friendships. Jesus met me at UTC and changed my faith forever and I am eternally grateful for that! EVERYONE GO TO UTC IT IS THE MOST AWESOME EVER!!!
