Worshipping Christ Through Sport
I expected camp to be impactful, that’s why I signed up so quickly in the first place. However, I had no idea how truly impactful this experience would be in every facet of my life. At camp I was humbled and had the realization that I was doing this with Christ and not just for Him. I had to rely on His strength and not my own.
I am a competitor, and being in last place in a competition I wanted to win was hard. However, I took that as a sign that I often focus on winning more than worshipping Christ through my sport. And as a result of winning being top priority, I find myself crushed under the weight of my own stress.
I ended up leaving camp without the stress that my sport gave me through a changed perspective of my sport, and how I can pursue Christ through it.
